      IT Security Specialist

      Oversees the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirements. Responsible for the implementation and development of the NSA IT security. Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena. Performs risk analyses that also include risk assessment. Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s information security. Provide support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to IT systems. A working knowledge of several of the following areas is required:

      • understanding  of  business  security  practices  and procedures
      • knowledge of current security tools available
      • hardware/software security implementation
      • different communication protocols
      • encryption techniques/tools
      • familiarity with commercial products and current Internet/EC technology

      Subject Matter Expert (SME)

      Develops requirements from a project's inception to its conclusion for a particular IT subject matter area (i.e., simple to complex systems).       Systems Engineer

      Job Description

      The Systems Engineer's duties shall include:

      • Analyzing Business Process re- engineering and change management processes
      • Applying knowledge of computer science and business analysis principles to develop solutions to customer requirements
      • Supporting the development of requirements documentation
      • Developing test plans and procedures
      • Reviewing results to ensure compliance with specifications
      • Development of functional and systems requirements
      • Gap analysis and development of technical requirements recommendations
      • Developing process mapping and business process improvements documentation
      • Collaboration with the appropriate individuals, customers, functional groups and project management relating to development, and information sharing for operational capabilities, functional requirements and test requirements. 

      Experience  Requirements

      The Systems Engineer shall possess (I) a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Analysis or Systems Engineering and 5 years experience leading information technology projects or (2) non-degreed with 12 years of documented System Engineering experience. The Systems Engineer shall have a background in a business environment designing and integrating information technology based solutions. Demonstrated experience with software development, automated systems engineering processes, workflows, tools and practices is required. Systems Engineer must have demonstrated knowledge of Federal, Intelligence Community (IC), and Department of Defense (DOD) Information Technology acquisition policies, processes, and relationships.

      Systems Administrator

      Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all  of the client problems. Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Must possess experience in one or mores systems and architectures and associated hardware:

      Test Engineer

      Subject matter expert providing testing expertise for support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software applications or IT systems. Directs and/or participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection. Responsible for ensuring that the test design and documentation support all applicable client, agency or industry standards time lines and budgets. Responsible for ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and project managers are fully informed of testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements.

      Technical Writer/Editor

      Gathers, analyzes, translates and composes technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel. Composes technical documents including, user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user’s manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents. Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology.

      Senior Systems Engineer

      Job Description

      The Senior Systems Engineer's duties shall include the following: Development and documentation of functional requirements, operational capabilities, test requirements, and supporting documentation and architectural views as directed; Gap analysis and development of technical requirements recommendations; Mapping of and providing recommendations for improvements to Agency business processes as directed; Support to leading integrated process teams; Support for the development of overarching systems engineering documentation and processes; Ensuring trace ability and documentation of test requirements to functional requirements; Development and/or leading customer development of test scenarios and scripts; Development and execution of test plans, descriptions and procedures; Review of test results to ensure compliance with specifications; Development and articulation of DoDAF and FEAF architecture artifacts; Support for the development and execution of training, communication, and system user support strategies; Usage of automated and desktop tools required for systems engineering processes; Support to system development reviews; Facilitation of the development trial, deployment and improvement of existing processes; Development and maintenance of user support documentation; Analysis of system maintenance requirements, including trouble reports and change proposal analysis; Collaboration with the appropriate individuals, customers, functional groups and project management relating to development, and information sharing for operational capabilities, functional requirements and test requirements. Work with and support the Program Manager/Senior Systems Engineer and Government CORs to ensure that technical and operational requirements are being fully satisfied.

       

      Experience Requirements

      The Senior Systems Engineer shall possess; (1) a Masters degree in Computer Science or Systems Engineering and 6 years experience leading technical projects or (2) a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Systems Engineering and 10 years experience leading information technology projects. Or (3) non-degreed with 17 years of documented Sr. System Engineering experience. The Senior Systems Engineer shall have a background in a business environment designing and integrating information technology based solutions. Demonstrated experience with software intensive system development; application of industry standard (ANSI, IEEE, etc.) and DoD or ODNI systems engineering principles, practices and tools; business process modeling, workflows, tools and practices is required. The Senior Systems Engineer shall have experience in test planning and execution. Senior Systems Engineer shall have demonstrated knowledge of Federal, Intelligence Community (fC), and Department of Defense (DOD) Information Technology acquisition policies, architecture frameworks (DoDAF, IDEF and FEAF), processes, and relationships. Senior Systems Engineer shall also have technical writing experience.

      Web Software Developer

      Provide support to develop Web based applications including online customer service to transform government agencies to be able to deliver their services online. Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the web site. Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications. Knowledge of agency specific platforms is required.
